CHIST-ERA Call 2023: international call for research support in information and communication science and technology is open!

At the beginning of 2024, the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic brings interesting subsidy opportunities not only in the field of national subsidies, but also in the field of international subsidies, which can be an interesting experience and significant support for further development of the company.

One such challenge is the currently open CHIST-ERA Call 2023, which focuses on leveraging new knowledge from General Purpose Technologies, enhancing sustainability of manufacturing and other economic activities, strengthening safety and reliability, and mapping and competitive advantages.

The call is one of the objectives of the popular Sigma programme and is open to international research consortia.

Applicant:

• small, medium or large enterprise
• research organisation

Call topics (in original):

• Multidimensional Geographic Information Systems (MultiGIS)
• Smart Contracts for Digital Transformation Ecosystems (SmartC)

Rate and amount of support:

• the maximum support intensity for the Czech side of the project is 80%
• there is no maximum rate of support

What you can get support for:

• personal expenses (including scholarships)
• subcontracting costs
• other direct costs (depreciation, intellectual property protection, operating costs, travel)
• indirect costs

Specific conditions of the call:

• proposals may be submitted by international project consortia consisting of at least three eligible independent partners applying for funding from at least three countries, a list of which is available on the provider’s website
• the Czech applicant must comply with the international rules as well as the rules set by the Czech grant provider
