New SIGMA DC 4 grant call – M-ERA.NET 3 CALL 2025 focused on materials research and innovation

The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TAČR) has announced a new international call SIGMA DC 4 – M-ERA.NET 3 CALL 2025, which aims to support applied research projects in the field of materials innovation and sustainable development. The priority areas of the call are sustainable energy, reducing the energy intensity of the economy and the materials base

Supported activities

Applied research projects must focus on one of the following areas:

  1. Sustainable materials for energy applications
  2. Innovative surfaces, coatings and interfaces
  3. Advanced composites and lightweight materials
  4. Functional materials
  5. Materials addressing environmental challenges
  6. Materials for next generation electronics

Eligible expenditure

  • Researchers’ salaries
  • other direct costs (IP protection, operating costs, travel, depreciation, materials, small assets, royalties)
  • subcontracts of a research nature
  • other indirect costs

Rate and amount of aid

The maximum aid intensity for the Czech part of the project is 80 %.

Maximum aid amount per project: EUR 350 000.

Projects submitted to this call are considered to be effective cooperation projects.
