Transport 2030 – Support for research, development and innovation in transport

The results of the 2nd call for tenders in the programme to support research and development in the field of transport have been announced and although it is still not easy to succeed in this grant programme, the trend is positive.

The success rate of submitted projects has increased from just 12% to almost 30%. In the first call for proposals, only 21 projects were supported, whereas in the second call for proposals 45 projects were supported.

In addition, we were able to obtain a subsidy for our client from this programme with the first project supported in the order. Thanks to our extensive know-how and a lot of experience with research and development projects, we were able to achieve the highest score in the first call for proposals, especially thanks to our precisely prepared grant application.

The next 3rd call for proposals is scheduled for March and it would be a shame not to take advantage of this opportunity.

Transport 2030 Programme

The aim of the programme is to support applied research and innovation in the transport sector. It is the successor to the popular Transport 2020+ programme, which also focused on safety and sustainability in transport or on transport automation and digitisation. Almost €2 billion will be allocated to transport research projects over the period 2023-2030.

The programme is aimed at anyone planning a project that has the potential to further new approaches, technologies and services leading to enhanced societal and economic benefits in the transport sector.

Again, a strong emphasis is placed on cooperation between businesses and research organisations. This will make it easier to put R&D results into practice.

The focus of the programme covers research and development across the whole transport system and all modes of transport.
